The standard we aim for
We aim for conformance with the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA.
Current status
The website has been assessed by ourselves and has not yet been through an independent audit. We therefore describe it as partially conforming to WCAG 2.1 AA: we apply most of the criteria, but we recognise the limitations listed below.
What we have done
- Semantic structure: page header, labelled navigation, main content and footer, with headings that organise the content.
- A «Skip to main content» link at the top of every page, for keyboard users.
- The page language is declared for each version (Albanian, Italian, English) and switching languages is clear.
- A visible focus indicator for keyboard navigation; menus and dialogs close with a button or the Esc key.
- Contact form fields have labels associated with their fields.
- Form success and error messages are announced to screen readers.
- Decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technologies and animated headings have a text equivalent for screen readers.
- Motion effects are reduced or disabled when the device is set to «reduce motion».
- The site adapts to different screen sizes and to browser zoom.
- Main text uses dark colour on a light background for good contrast.
Known limitations
- The client logo carousel moves automatically and pauses when you hover over it; it does not yet have a dedicated pause button. It stops completely when the device is set to reduce motion.
- Some scroll-triggered animation effects may be distracting; if so, turn on «reduce motion» on your device.
- Links to external resources (for example legislation, social networks) are not under our control.
Compatibility with technologies
The website is built to work with current versions of the main browsers and the most widely used assistive technologies. We have not tested every combination of browser and screen reader.
